As you head into your planning sessions and as you're thinking about the year end, what rules are you going to keep breaking in 2021?
So, we've had it backwards for years. We've been the aggressors. We've been the ones who have been going and trying to demonstrate that we're interested in working with them when in fact, what we needed to be doing and what many smart agencies are doing today, is they are being interesting.
The question I want you to think about is, are you still out looking for clients, or are you settling for being findable, or are you being sought after?
If you haven't jumped in yet, if you haven't created something new, but there's been something in the back of your head, now is the time.
Now, I'll tell you, some of the information is going to actually make you feel pretty good. One of my favorite, for us, statistics is a third of the respondents actually see what has happened - the recession and all of that - as an opportunity, and they're gearing up.
What do you do for clients that maybe they have an emotional or a sentimental attachment to and have you fully merchandised how they can take that with them and keep a little bit of the love?
Many of you are considering bringing back either furloughed staff or hiring for positions that maybe you didn't even have six months ago. One of the things I want to remind you is, there's more than one way to get that work done
We have a lot of control over our business, over what we put into the business, what we get back out of the business, but those choices are interwoven. And sometimes you have to make sacrifices depending on what you want.
