Hey everybody! Drew McLellan here from Agency Management Institute. You know, I am still coming to you from home, and I got to admit, I'm out of gas. I am tired. I'm tired of working 7 days a week, 12 or 15 hours a day. I need a respite. And I don't think I'm alone. I've been having conversations with many agency owners this week, and realizing how exhausted all of you are, how burnt out you are. We've been going at this nonstop. Mentally, emotionally, physically, we've been on the move for 90 plus days. And you know what, you can't sustain that forever. So if you know me at all, you know that one of my happy places is Disney World, but oddly, one of my other happy places, the exact opposite of Disney World, is by a body of water. There's nothing I love to do more than walk, ankle dip along a beach or a lake or an ocean, that the sounds of and the smells and the sight of that quiet tranquil place really helps me recharge. And so, I need to find that. I need to find that soon for myself. I know that. And you know what, you do too. I know that you are, you've burned the candle on both ends and the middle. We've got a whole half of the year left to get through. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us. I want every one of you to make sure that your agency ends up in the black at the end of 2020, and that means you've got to be on your A-game. So if you have noticed that you're dragging, that it's taking you twice or three times as long to write something, that you aren't, you get stuck and you can't find the words that you want to use, understand that those are all signs that your tank is empty and it's time to fill it. So what I want you to do is I want you to pull out your calendar. I want you to talk to whoever it is that you love to travel with; family, friends, whoever that is, and I want you to schedule a time soon. Not this fall, but soon, that you can get away, at least for a couple days. Find your version of a happy place. Even if you can't go to your ideal happy place, find some variation of that, that will allow you to unwind. Commit to not checking email for a couple days, staying off your phone, and just reading, sleeping, and whatever it is, meditating, yoga. Whatever your thing is, commit to doing it for yourself, for a minimum of 3-4 days and give yourself a chance to recharge, and then come back and then let's kick 2020. All right? I'll see you next week. Get some rest.
